"Dear Rev. Steve, Dr. Jean, Norma, and Haley: We join the many friends who search, today, for some words to express our deep sadness for your family. We think of a hymn we used to sing called "Farther Along". One of the refrains includes, "Fartther along we'll know all about it. Farther along we'll understand why. Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine. We will understand it all by and by." In the meantime, we realize that unfortunate things happen to good people. We send our sincere condolences with thoughts of the many times you have consoled others. May God''s Blessings and your proud memories of a wonderful son and darling grandson bring you a measure of comfort as you continue to honor their lives. Best wishes."

"Steve, It seems like such a short time ago that I sought your wisdom concerning a young man who's life was seemingly cut short in a motorcycle accident. You told me that it wasn't Gods choice to take people at an early age yet He would be there waiting for them nonetheless. You spoke of the life they would have in God's eternal kingdom and that those of us who mourn need to take comfort in that fact. How I would love to turn to you today seeking more of your wisdom, yet I know that you now seek peace and understanding with the passing of Daniel and Hunter. Take your teachings to heart and know that they are free from pain and suffering and one day, your family will rejoice in the togetherness afforded us by God. How blessed these 2 young men were to have you and Jean love them and forever holding their memories close to your heart. Be well again my friend!"
