Robert Ackley Templeton, age 77 of 2130 Harrison, formerly of 926 Locust, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 in Good Samaritan Home.
He was born March 21, 1929 in Osage, Iowa the son of Robert and Helen Ackley Templeton. On October 25, 1958 he married Mary Ann Knocke in Quincy, Illinois. She preceded him in death on April 11, 2005.
Mr. Templeton was a 1948 graduate of Hunnewell High School, Hunnewell MO, and a 1956 graduate of Purdue University, LaFayette, IN. He also was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had worked as an X-ray technician at Blessing and St. Mary Hospital. He was a member of Faith Christian Church.
Survivors include, 2 sisters Jean Baker of Monroe City, MO; Ruth Ann and her husband Pillip 'Red' Peterson of Monroe City, MO; a sister-in-law, Ursula Gabbert of Cinncinati, Ohio and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
Services will be Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 1 p.m. in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Pratt officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials made to the Jolly Seniors at Faith Christian Church. in his name would be appreciated.
