Sarah Grace Winkeljohn, beloved infant daughter of Michael and Mary Winkeljohn of 1620 Sycamore, passed away at birth at 12:02 a.m. on Friday, December 15th in Blessing Hospital.
Survivors in addition to her parents, include her three brothers, Brandon, Matthew, and Andrew of the home; maternal grandparents Harold and Juanita Andrews, Marblehead; paternal grandparents Richard and Judy Winkeljohn, Quincy, and great grandmother, Jessie Lewis, Mendon; several aunts and uncles: Robert Andrews, Payson, Cory and Mandy Andrews, Liberty, Rick and Carrie Winkeljohn, Champaign, Chris and Sara Winkeljohn, Macon, Shawn and Heather, Rossville, Nathan and Jessica Winkeljohn, Jacksonville, Seth and Danielle Winkeljohn, O'Fallon, MO and Isaac Winkeljohn, Champaign; several great aunts and uncles and cousins Suzana and Rebekah Andrews, and Natalie and Kade Winkeljohn.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 16th for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or to the Blessing Foundation for Blessed Beginnings.
The family would like the express its heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Degreeff and the nursing staff in the Blessed Beginnings Department for their genuine compassion during this painful loss.
