Martha A. Gartman, age 55, of Lincoln-Douglas Apartments died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 4:30 pm in her home.
She was born November 18, 1951 in Dallas, TX the daughter of William and Loretta Daniels Morgan.
She was described by all as a very colorful person. She was a voracious reader, a movie buff and a music lover. She was also known as a great Dolly Parton fan. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Jennifer Morrison of McKinney, TX; Mary Chinal of Mesquite, TX, and Pam Wallace of Quincy; 5 grandchildren whom she adored, Noa Smith of McKinney, TX, Jean-Luc and Rachel Chinal, both of Topeka, KS, and Mary and Matthew Winking, both of Quincy; a brother, Calvin Stracener of Sherwood, AR; 2 sisters, Arie Stracener of Littlerock, AR; and Judy Rogers of Little Rock, AR; and an aunt, Mary Bailey of Avinger, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at 10:00 am in the Hansen Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Orville Jones officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in her name would be greatly appreciated.
