"Remember Shirley as always having a smile and a great wit. Fun times with our kids growing up on Hermits Lake. We often shared good times and a few sad ones. Was a Blessing to know such a loving, caring Mother to her family Now is time for her to rest peacefully. No matter how old we are we forever miss our Mothers. Our Prayers and thoughts are with you."
"I have so many fond memories of Shirley and your entire family! Spending time at the City Club during family gatherings, and special sleepovers, exploring that amazing home late at night in footed PJs! She was always up for having fun, and loved playing with the kids! (Even when we worked her last nurve I'm sure!I also have amazing memories of her kitchen, afternoons when I would pick up my great-grandmother from an afternoon of bridge, I would purposefully arrive a little early because I knew Shirley would have something amazing to eat and insist of feeding me! Thanks for the memories Shirley and family! With sympathy, Todd"
"I only had one personal encounter with Shirley--when the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce inducted Lorenzo Bull into its Business Hall of Fame in 2008. Shirley was so kind and gracious as she helped me gather photos and other information for our video on him. She seemed so proud of the heritage of that beautiful home and its owner. When she would call me, she would identify herself as "Lorenzo's secretary." It was a wonderful joke we shared. She was special. Your family has my sympathy. I know she will be missed."
"Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family Lori & Wes. Keep all of the great memories close to your heart, I'm sure there are many. We only met her once but was fun to get to know her."

"A beautiful person inside and out who kept us on our toes as kids. She never turned away a hungry mouth or turned out a homeless teenager. She was a person who laughed easily and loved all who needed it. As a single parent she cultivated a wide circle of friends of all ages.God will bless her with the rest she deserves. Much love to her family for being such good sharers of her time and prayers for peace of mind that heaven will be a great place to go to because Shirley is there cooking! Love, Charlie"
