Susan Wagner Wright, age 59, of 1608 Payson, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.
She was born July 6, 1948 in New York City, NY the daughter of Daniel J. and Margaret "Peggy" Dodge Wagner. On July 20, 2002 she married David Wright at The Crossing in Quincy. He survives.
She was an R.N. Her devotion to nursing and patient care was second only to the love she demonstrated to her family as a wife, a mother, a sister and a daughter. She was of the Christian faith and was active in Bible studies and small groups. She was an avid reader from a young age.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons: Cecil Patrick Edgens of Jackson, MS; and Zane Carey Edgens and his wife, Susie, of Gurnee, IL; a daughter, Sharon Lynn Brown of Bethel, MO; her father, Daniel J. Wagner of Quincy; two sisters: Linda Rita Sloan and her husband, Lindy, of Quincy; and E. Ann Harley of Chardon, OH; a brother, Kevin F. Wagner of Yorktown Heights, NY; two step-children: Cory Wright and Dana Wright Golden of Quincy; a granddaughter, Skye Edgens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother in January of 2008.
Services: Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Harris officiating.
Visitation: Tuesday, February 19 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
