Stanley B. "Sam" Pyatt, age 72 of 533 Woodbridge Dr., died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 11:30 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.
He was born May 16, 1935 in Ramsey, Illinois the son of Maurice and Arlene Martin Pyatt. On October 10, 1955 he married Barbara Willett in Biloxi, MS.
Surviving are his wife and three children, Stanley M. Pyatt and his wife Sue of Lake Worth, FL; Stephanie Pyatt of Quincy; and Stuart Pyatt and his wife Mona of Quincy; four grandchildren, Brandy Goudy, Michael Pyatt, Jodie Pyatt and Jamie Pyatt; and one sister, Diane Blackburn and her husband Bob of Ramsey, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Audrey Prouty; and one granddaughter, Jordan Pyatt.
He was educated in Vandalia schools and E.I.U. at Charleston, IL. Before his retirement in 2003 he owned and operated Holcomb Studio in Galesburg, IL for 46 years.
Following cremation private graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
