Marjorie M. Lovelace, age 86, formerly of 3608 Biscayne, Quincy, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 3:08 p.m. in Sunset Home.

She was born January 28, 1922 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Edwin and Muriel Powell Schaberg. On April 27, 1941 she married Paul W. Lovelace in LaGrange, Missouri, He died August 11, 2007.

Marjorie attended Washington and Madison Schools and graduated from Garrison Elementary School in Shelbyville, Missouri. She attended high school in Wichita, Kansas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was an active volunteer in the AWANA program and served on the Missionary Board. She was a Brownie leader. She and Paul delivered groceries to shut-ins, and she would can all the vegetables that Paul grew in their family garden. She had been a cook at Emerson School and Quincy Junior High and Blessing Hospital. She also, ran the Tea Room ice cream and sandwich shop in the basement of the State Street Store.

Survivors include 2 sons, Terry Lovelace and his wife Jan, and Phillip Lovelace all of Quincy, 2 daughters, Barbara Grimes of Frisco, Texas and, Sherrill DeCamp and her husband Grady of Elk Rapids, Michigan; 7 grandchildren, Curtis Lovelace and his fiancé Erika Gomez of Quincy, Kimberly Boudreau and her husband Matt of Quincy, Mark Grimes of Houston, TX, Michael Grimes of Lewisville, TX, Sherri Machetti and her husband Ron of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Janelle Alter of the Quad Cities, and Megan Lovelace of Quincy; 10 great grandchildren, Lyndsay, Logan, Lincoln and Larson Lovelace, Matthew and Isabelle Boudreau and Easton, Caden, Brock and Lane Alter; a sister, Francis Denim of Quincy, and a brother, Phil Schaberg of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers, William and her twin Morgan Schaberg, and a sister, Josephine Scott, son-in-law Tim Grimes and granddaughter-in-law Cory Lovelace.

Services: 10 a.m.Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Hansen-Spear with the Rev. Mickey Farlow officiating. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation: 4-6 p.m Friday at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
