Mary E. Fleischman

Mary E. Fleischman, age 76, of 1136 St. Charles, died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 11:45 am in her home.

She was born November 19, 1931 in Utica, NY the daughter of William Roger and Ruth Mary Fay Coss. On June 9, 1951 she married Frederick George Fleischman in Utica, NY. He preceded her in death on September 20, 2000.

Mary was a graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School and the Utica School of Commerce. She was employed for 14 years at New York Bell Telephone Company, and retired in 1998 after 25 years with Forbes Clothiers.

Mary was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she was a member of St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women, the Sacred Heart League, and was Secretary of the 60 and Over Club. She was also a member of the Elks Club, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and volunteered with RSVP, Blessing Hospital and Good Samaritan Home.

Survivors include 4 children, Christine Russo and her husband Louis of N. Syracuse, NY, Frederick Fleischman and his wife Tami of Quincy, IL, William Fleischman and his wife Jody of Springfield, MO, Diane Clynes and her husband John of O'Fallon, MO; seven grandchildren, Laurie Fitzgerald and her husband Martin of N. Syracuse, NY, Jennifer Russo of Austin, TX, Jonathan Russo of Palm Desert, CA, Gregory and Michael Fleischman of Quincy, Johnny and Emily Clynes of O'Fallon, MO; her sister, Alice McKinley of Albany, NY, a step granddaughter, Nicki Taylor and her husband Brian of Willard, MO, a step grandson, Justin Bangert and his wife Chardy of Meredosia, IL, and a step great grandaughter, Madison Taylor of Willard, MO. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Susan at birth.

Services: Tuesday 1 pm prayers at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Kuse officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation: Monday 4-7 pm at Hansen-Spear with a Wake service at 6 pm.

Memorials: Knights of Columbus Mass for Shut-ins or Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
