Carole Jean Wade, age 73, of Spring, Texas and formerly of Quincy died Thursday, June 4, 2009 in Spring, TX.
She was born October 20, 1935 in Jasper, Indiana the daughter of William and Mae Beauton Dixon Bauer. On March 31, 1983 she married Paul Howard Wade in Springfield, IL, and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2001.
She was a graduate of Muncie Central High School, Muncie, Indiana, and was the Executive Assistant to Larry Cervone at Broadcast Electronics for 10 years. Carol was a member of Quincy Women's City Club and Cedar Crest Country Club. She was an accomplished bowler.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise Harmon of Spring, TX; her son, Dennis Dick and wife Loretta of Aurora, IL; a step daughter, Sharon Flynn of Carrollton, TX; grandchildren, Carolyn, Lauryn and Shanyn Dick of Aurora, IL, Kelle Sweeney and husband Bryan of Friendswood, TX, Kyle Harmon and wife Beth of Kansas City, MO, Kara Beatty of Spring, TX, Jessica Flynn of Carrolton, TX, and 8 great grandchildren; two brothers, Stephen Carroll and wife Jackie of Muncie, IN, and James Carroll of Shiloh, GA,
Services: 7 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2009 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with pastor Scott Swigart officiating.
Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2009 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or a Hospice of the donor's choice
