Randy Hoskins
June 1, 2015

Randy W. Hoskins, Sr., age 68, of 1370 N. 1003rd Ln., Quincy, died Monday, June 1, 2015, at 11:29 am in his home.

Randy was born June 19, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Raymond and Vivian Henderson Hoskins. He married Annette Kirley on December 10, 1983 in Quincy. She survives.

Randy served in the United States Army for seven years, from 1963 through 1970 during the Vietnam War. In 1999 he graduated from Vatterott College with an Associates Degree in Electrical Mechanics. Randy worked as a chef for Quincy Country Club, as well as several Quincy hotels. Most recently he worked as a carpenter. In his spare time, Randy enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets to expand his ever growing collection of key chains.

He was a member of Faith Assembly of God where he served as an usher. He was also active in the bus ministry. Randy also helped out in the nursery when needed to calm a restless child. Contrary to his disposition of a gentle giant, Randy had also played the role of a Roman soldier in the church's Easter Passion plays.

Randy will be remembered as someone who was always available to lend a helping hand, a few dollars, or even just a hug to anyone who needed it.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: four children: Linda Lou (Bob) Schulte of Winfield, MO; Randy Hoskins, Jr. of Quincy; Sarah (Joe) Hegg of Quincy; and David (Joanna) Hoskins of Payson, IL; a step-daughter, Gabriela (Bobby) Washington of Quincy; his sister, Reajean Montgomery of Silva, MO and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Ronald Sr., Clarence, and Rickie Hoskins.
