J. Kenneth Nesbit was born on April 7, 1932. He lived in Monroe City, MO, Hannibal, MO, and since 1950 in Quincy, Illinois which he loved.
He died at Blessing Hospital on July 6, 2015.
He married Connie Kirsch in 1952 and lost her to cancer in 1984. He married Rose Mary in 1991. She survives him.
Also preceding him in death were his mother A. Ottolene Pratt and step-father Everett Pratt.
Ken (J.K.) Nesbit was a graduate of Quincy University, and retired after forty years as a partner with Gray Hunter Stenn certified public accounting firm. He cared deeply and worked hard for his clients. He was a member of the board of trustees of Quincy University for several years and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his two sons Kirk (Erin) Nesbit and Corey (Kim) Deters, six grandchildren Keegan (Amy) Nesbit, Kourtney (Geoffrey) Thompson, Adam (Megan) Wardlow, Danyel Wardlow, Kinleigh Deters and Kamryn Deters, two great grandchildren Penn and Neve Wardlow, and his mother-in-law Florence Terry.
The Nesbit family wishes to thank Dr. Noble, Dr. Krause, Blessing Hospital, the caregivers of Carelink, and most of all Ken's cherished friends who gave J. K. so much care and never ending support.
Services: A Funeral Mass will be Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Peter celebrated by Monsignor Leo Enlow
Visitation: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m Thursday, July 9th at the Church of St. Peter
Burial: Calvary Cemetery
Memorials: Quincy University and the Church of St. Peter
