Randall L. "Randy" Snider, age 58, of Quincy, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at 8:58 pm in Blessing Hospital.
Randy was born July 6, 1957 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Ronald and Darlene Ellis Snider. He married Penny Hardin on August 17, 1996 in Quincy. She survives.
He served in the United States Army from 1979-1983. Randy worked several jobs including Gene's Phillip's 66 Gas Station, and Risky Business video store in West Quincy. Randy owned and operated "My Way Entertainment" DJ and Karaoke from 1998 until 2009. He worked at Ron Snider Auto Sales since 1988. Some of Randy's favorite times were spent on his fishing trips with his uncle Charlie and his brother-in-law, Dale. He enjoyed his mini trips with his aunts and playing dominoes with his family and friends. Randy was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
In addition to his wife, Randy is survived by a daughter: Shannon (Mike Maas) Matticks of Quincy; six grandchildren: Katie and Devon Weiske of Quincy; Eve Edwards of Conroe,TX; Amber and Charlie Matticks of Quincy; and Phyllis Maas of Quincy; one great-granddaughter, Annie Weiske, three step-children: Donna (Randy) Noecker of Bow Valley, NE; Misty (David Bajic) Benner of Chicago, IL; and Eric Benner of Quincy; grandchildren, Ava Courtois of Chicago, IL; MacKenzie Hadsall of Quincy; and Wesley, Cole, and Laney Noecker of Bow Valley, NE; his father, Ronald Snider; two brothers: R. Kent (Linda) Snider of Quincy; and Roger (Robin) Snider of Quincy; a sister, Tammy Snider of Quincy; two aunts, Cheri (Charlie Birdsell) Snider of Liberty, IL, and Linda (Charlie) Buddemeyer of Philadelphia, MO; an uncle, Fred (Mary) Ellis of Lewisburg, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother; four uncles: Ray, Roy, and Harry Ellis; and William Snider; and an aunt, Maxine Courtois.
Services: 10:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Wayne Manago officiating.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery
Visitation: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday October 23, 2015 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
Memorials: Calvary Baptist Church, Hope Lodge in St. Louis, or Neils in Hannibal
