Brent Lee Sparrow, age 36, of 722 Adams, Quincy, died Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in his parents' home.
Brent was born April 24, 1980 in Quincy, the son of Leroy J.and Joyce Evon Clemens Sparrow.
Brent was a 1998 graduate of Quincy High School and a 2000 graduate of Quincy Tech. After school, he worked as mechanic. Brent was then employed by DOT Foods, where he worked until his health prevented him from doing so.
As a small child, Brent was spoiled by his oldest sister, Candy. As he got older, he became especially close to his sister, Kerry, and their bond only got stronger as his illness progressed.
Brent was an avid gun collector and a radio control vehicle enthusiast. Most of all, Brent loved spending time with his kids.
Survivors include: four children, Maria, Ashlynn, Quinton, and Baylee Sparrow of Hamilton, IL; his parents: Leroy and Joyce Sparrow of Quincy; two sisters: Candy Lynn (Kevin) Mast of Quincy; and Kerry (Chris) Sparrow-Lane of Quincy; his significant other, Angela Finley of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles ,and cousins.
Brent was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert L. and Jessie Sparrow, maternal grandparents, Quinton Clemens and Bonnie Walker
Services: 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. V Lee Amsler officiating.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
Visitation: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Monday August 15, 2016 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
Memorials: Blessing Cancer Center or Children's Education Fund
