Marjorie Beck, age 94, of Quincy, died Monday, September 12, 2016, at 4:27 pm in St. Vincent's Home.

Marjorie was born August 25, 1922 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Marie Feld Winking. She married Robert T. Beck in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1986.

Marjorie was a 1939 graduate of Quincy High School. During World War II, Marjorie was a map maker for the United States Army. Marjorie was a former member of St. John's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary. Marjorie was currently a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.

In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and watching "Dancing With The Stars".

Marjorie is survived by her five children: Carol (Jim) Koch of Kirksville, MO; Thomas Beck of Quincy; John (Peggy) Beck of Mendon, IL; Mary (Rev. Dave) Alberts of Prescott Valley, AZ; and Robert Beck of Quincy, IL; ten grandchildren: Diane (Tom) Tener, of Allen, TX; Tom Jr. (Amy) Beck of Quincy; Debbie (Curt) Adams of Quincy; Shannon (Kevin) Griffy of Boonville, MO; Tasha (Commander Chad) Albold of Hanford, CA; Logan (Jason) Comegys of Boonville, MO; Lindsay (Ryan) Kelly of Greenwood, IN; Trevor (Kristi) Beck of Quincy; Scott (Lori) Alberts of Quincy; and Lisa (Dr. Ryle) Smith of Pella, IA; 23 great grandchildren: Kyle Tener, Kaylee Koch, Abby, Emmy, Hannah, Clare, Mia, Ava, and Libby Beck, Collin and Caitlyn Adams, Kennedy and Kendrick Griffy, Blake and Cade Albold, Ryder and Emerson Comegys, Lauryn, Lila, and Levi Kelly, Reece Beck, Shane Alberts, and Callum Smith, with one on the way; and a sister-in-law, June Winking of Quincy.

In addition to her husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Robert, Richard, and Jerry Winking, a grandson, Dan Koch, and a daughter-in-law, Ginnie Beck

Services: 10:00 am Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Don Blaeser, O.F.M. officiating.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois

Visitation: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday September 16, 2016 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home

"JUNE, Tom & I probably won't be able to make it to Margie's funeral services...but I want to tell you that we are very sorry for your loss...The last time I got to see Margie was at her 90th birthday party...I came with Aunt Barb and we really enjoyed ourselves visiting wth Margie and the rest of the family too.. Margie seemed so very excited with seeing everyone. i hope that memories like this one will carry you thru the difficult times....please let your family know we will be praying for everyone."
