Joshua Thomas "Josh" Marx, age 28, of Quincy, died Friday, September 23, 2016, at 4:08 am in his home.
Josh was born March 9, 1988 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Charles "Tom" and Kathie Myers Marx.
Josh was a graduate of Quincy High School and had attended John Wood Community College. Josh was half owner of TM and JM Properties and was part of the family owned Fireworks Superstore in Hannibal, Missouri. Josh loved music, playing his drum set, and always enjoyed attending concerts. Josh enjoyed setting up and shooting off fireworks. He was very talented with computers, he built his own. Josh enjoyed his 2nd cousin, Peyton, expecially at Christmas, and just getting to know his cousin, August. All who knew josh loved him. He will be missed!
Survivors his parents, Tom and Kathie Marx of Quincy; his beloved friend, Rebecca Arns of Affton, MO; an uncle, Mike Marx of Hannibal, MO; an aunt, Karrie and her husband Craig Smith of Quincy; two cousins, Tory and Tyler Kaufmann of Quincy; and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Myers of Quincy.
Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jim Myers, and his paternal grandparents, Edward and Margaret Marx.
Services: 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Rod Bakker officiating.
Burial: Grand View Burial Park, Hannibal, Missouri
Visitation: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday September 27, 2016 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Memorials: Quincy Humane Society or Faith Presbyterian Church
