Francis H. Dietrich

Francis H. Dietrich, age 95, of Fort Myers, FL and formerly of Quincy, died on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Cypress Cove Nursing Home in Fort Myers, FL.
He was born March 28, 1921 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of George J. and Anna Ganss Dietrich. On February 21, 1943 he married Jeanette K. Schnellebacher. She preceded him in death on July 30, 1982. On September 22, 1983, he married Norma Jean Peters Steinbrecher in New Lenox, IL. She survives.
Mr. Dietrich was a graduate of St. Francis Grade School, Quincy College Academy, and Casey Jones School of Aeronautics. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He served as an Aerial Engineer in the U.S. Air Force (B17) during WWII. Mr. Dietrich retired from Moorman Manufacturing after 32 years where he was the garage foreman.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Patricia Hussong, Quincy, IL; a son, Jeff Dietrich and wife Becky, Ohio; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother George A. Dietrich, and two sisters, Rita Hagerbaumer and Sister Mary Ann Fleischmann O.S.B.
Memorial Mass: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at The Church of St. Peter with Monsignor Leo Enlow officiating.
