Donna, Rich, Gabe & Gavin Lane wrote on Mar 10, 2017:

"Dear Schutte Family, My condolences to you all on the loss of such a beautiful, wonderful lady. Joan will be greatly missed. When we met Joan at church I knew she was the perfect person to take our dog Lucy 6 years ago. I had a toddler and a crawling baby at the time and was looking for someone who would love her and take care of Lucy as much as we did. This was the only way we would have ever gave Lucy up. Joan took remarkable care of Lucy and was so proud of her. When I would see Joan on Sunday's at Church I would ask her how Lucy was doing, she would always say great and how much she loved her. She would tell me how well trained she was and tell me I did a good job of training her. I thought that was so sweet. Thank You Joan for taking such good care of her. We will miss you so, so much and I know Lucy will too."

Paul K. Geers, St. Louis, Mo. wrote on Mar 9, 2017:

"Dear Monty Davis and Jerry Schutte, About two weeks ago, I saw Joan with you and Father Devillers for giving her the last rites, she was so thankful and happy we showed up. She was a very faithful member of St. Rose since we reopened and love the Latin Mass, she was a GEM to know and what a kind soul she was. As a sister to you Jerry she was also the protector of you since you were the youngest, but her love for her own family, daughter and son Monty will always continue in our hearts. She was a joy to meet and laugh with and such a good lady, she will never be forgotten in my prayers. Paul"
