Ricky H. Shaul, age 63, of Quincy, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 2:20 pm in his home.

Ricky was born May 5, 1953 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Harold Duane and Rita Elizabeth Schell Shaul.

He was a graduate of Quincy High School. Ricky worked as a welder for Knapheide, as a truck driver and at Ricky's Sand Bar at Fifth and Cedar which was named after him. He loved riding his motorcycle and boating on the river. He enjoyed watching his son play football and baseball in high school and college. Ricky enjoyed all of his customers throughout the years. He also enjoyed going to the North Side Boat Club and shooting trap.

Ricky is survived by his son, Chris Shaul of Quincy; a brother, Randy (Kresha) Shaul of Dallas-Fort Worth area, TX; a niece, Tanya Shaul of Omaha, NE; and his significant other, Debbie Brassfield.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a memorial service held for Ricky at Ricky's Sand Bar on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (5th and Cedar)
