Marjorie Ann Rose Hageman, age 85, of Quincy, died Friday, June 16, 2017, at 4:30 am in her home.

Marjorie was born August 5, 1931 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Jim and Dorothy Kuntz Rose. She married William "Bill" Hageman on May 15, 1954 in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2008.

Marjorie was raised in Barry until her family moved to Quincy when she was in second grade. She was a graduate of Quincy High School. She was a member of the rifle team in high school and a member of the National Rifle Association. She attended Quincy College. Marjorie had been employed at Illinois Bell Telephone and Rose Construction, her family's business. She and Bill later owned and operated Rose Construction, until their retirement in 1992.

Marjorie was a member of the Order of the Rainbow Girls for 70 years where she served in various capacities, including Grand Worthy Advisor of Illinois from 1951 to 1952. She also served as Mother Advisor for the Quincy Assembly for many years. She had a great passion for this organization and the principles and lessons that are taught to generations of young women. Marge had an impact on thousands of young women's lives, not only in Quincy but across the entire state. She also helped start the Illinois Rainbow Leadership Camp. In addition, Marjorie was a member of Abeba Temple Daughters of the Nile, Alpha Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member and long time treasurer of the Women's City Club,

Survivors include two sons William "Butch" (Diane) Hageman and Charles "Chuck" (Debbie) Hageman, both of Quincy; five grandchildren, Cody (Kayla) Hageman and Courtney (Devin) Hageman, both of Quincy, Erin (Michael) Vanderwater of Champaign, IL, Katie Hageman of St. Peters, MO, Taylor (Rod) Lake of Champaign; six great-grandchildren, Ally and Arie Hageman, Anna and Will Hageman, and Alexa and Nyla Lake; a sister, Ruth Lohr of Overland Park, KS; a brother-in-law, Bill Heitholt; many loving nieces and nephews; and two special friends and caregivers, Carol Sue Dettmer and Joyce Hollenberg.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Hageman, her parents, a sister, Dorothy "Do" Heitholt, and a brother-in-law, Robert Lohr

Services: 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Disseler officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois

Visitation: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Tuesday June 20, 2017 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
