"Dearest Tom, Carol, and family We are so sorry to learn of Dan's passing. How very hard that must be for you. We've had him in our thoughts and prayers that he would beat the cancer beast. Please know that our love, thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult of times. This just isn't what is supposed to happen! I still remember him as a 4 year old running across the field with that ornery golden retriever chasing him and knocking him down. I saw it and ran out to help by yelling at the dog. "R.I.P. "D". Thomas Daniel was an early childhood through high school friend and occasional partner in mischief. Benign mischief...as was his style. I have been flooded with memories of a young man walking down Walnut Street in Hamilton...tossing a ball...and wanting to know if I wanted to play. I did, and we did. "Horse", wiffle ball, catch, etc. I have a wealth of stories to share...at least through late high school/post graduation timeframe when the love of his life pre-empted us all. Good for Dan & Dawn! Hugs to Dawn, Carol & Tom, brother Joe. See you on Tuesday...Chris Shaw."
