Jessie Ray Boston, age 76, of Quincy, died Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at 1:00 pm in Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Jessie was born August 31, 1941 in Ashley, Missouri, the daughter of Elgin and Bertha Lent Lovelace.
She was raised in Ashley, Missouri and graduated from Bowling Green High School. She served in the U.S. Army and retired after 20 years. Her service took her to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. She was very proud to have served her country. She enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jessie loved her two cats, Pearly and Ruby.
Survivors include her sister, Donna Potter of Bowling Green, MO; a nephew, Ed Potter of Curryville, MO; 2 great nephews, Randi Potter and Will Potter; 2 great nieces, Stephanie (Wilson) Marino and Sara (Chris) Bucher both of Virginia.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents.
Private services will be held at a later date in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veterans Home.
