Claudelle Sue Altgilbers, age 54, of , Quincy,died Friday, November 3, 2017, at 7:15 pm in Blessing Hospital.
Claudelle was born May 29, 1963 in St. Mary's Hospital in Quincy, IL, a daughter of Walter and Wanda Wright Gallaher. She married James Altgilbers on April 11, 1981 at the Salvation Army in Quincy. He survives.
Claudelle worked for many years as a cook at various establishments including the Elks Club, Elders Restaurant, and St. Vincent's Home. In her spare time, she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three children: James Altgilbers, Jr.; Kristy (Kurt) Cadwallader; and Heather Altgilbers; ten grandchildren: Keenyn, McKayla, and Sabrina Altgilbers, all of Quincy; Dominic and Hailey Franzen; Parker Cadwallader; and Gage, Alexis, Brandon, and Payton Altgilbers, all of Quincy; four brothers: Walter, Paul, William (Amy), and Rodney Gallaher, all of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Claudelle was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Wanda Prince.
Services: The family will be holding private services at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
