Dolores Hardy

Dolores J. Hardy, age 91, of Quincy, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at 3:39 am in Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Dolores was born January 31, 1926 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Georgia F. Smith Lambert.

She worked at the Quincy Shoe Factory during World War II making boots for our soldiers. Dolores also worked for Gates Radio before they were bought by Harris. She had also worked at catered parties at the Lincoln-Douglas Building back when it was still a hotel.

She is survived by a son, Eddy (Kathy) Frese, of Lima, IL; two daughters, Linda Crook, of Quincy, and Penny S. Nauert, of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Chad) Porter and Andrea (Josh) Bindseil, both of Canton, MO, and Natalie (Matt) Coriell, of St. Louis, MO; seven great-grandchildren, Tristan and Zoe Porter, Skylar and Lily Stolarz, Cooper Bindseil, and Dottie and Colton Coriell; and a special friend and dancing partner, Sonny Bradfield, of Quincy.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Kevin Frese; three sisters, Gertrude L. Gross, Frances Jackson, and Dorothy Six; and a brother, Earl "Buzzy" Lambert, Jr.

Services: 2:00 pm Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum, with Pastor Brian Stone officiating.

Burial: Quincy Memorial Park, Quincy, Illinois

Visitation: there will be no visitation, but friends are invited to the service
