"Mike, Mary, Casey, Leah, and family. By now you know how sorry I am for your loss. My sorrow has to pale in comparison into what you are enduring. Im not sure anyone spent more time with Cory than I did in the last few years. I got to know him very well, as he did me! Underneath his sarcasm and jokes, he was a very caring man. But thats how I come to know he cared about you. If he was giving you a hard time, he liked you! When I realized that, then I saw what his kids saw! Truly unique and effective way of caring for people. He has left an lasting impression on my life. I didnt realize it till last Friday! He was a great guy, and he will be forever missed! I had to drive to work yesterday without him and is was quiet and sad! I miss him a lot! RIP my friend and colleague!"

"I met him in August and can say that he was a master in his content and his scholars really loved being in his class. He stopped by my office on 1-11-18 to give me an update on one of my junior students. He specifically wanted me to pass a message on to that student. The message was so positive that I could not wait to share with the student as I was able to do a few hours later. To see the excitement on the face of the student when I relayed the message from Herschler was just priceless! Simply said, that?s the type of teacher he was. He will be missed by his Comanche family!"

"Cory and I are co workers, I didn't know him well but was on the receiving end of several early morning sarcastically driven comments, we both had had similar shoulder surgeries and he would swear his was worse than mine, lol, we often saw each other in the teachers lounge and I will miss that interaction with him.
