In loving memory of

Dr. Diana Franklin
September 11, 2018

Dr. Diana Franklin, age 62, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at 1:14 am in Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Diana was born February 2, 1956 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Donald "Don" and Sheila Menne Laws. She married Todd Franklin on November 19, 1983 in Quincy, Illinois. He survives.

Diana was a 1974 graduate of Notre Dame High School and a graduate of Illinois State University. She received her doctorate of chiropractic degree in 1981 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. After receiving her chiropractic degree, Diana joined her mother, Dr. Sheila Laws at Laws Chiropractic and eventually purchased the practice. Diana continued her education in chiropractic, nutrition and functional medicine through the years and brought her knowledge back to Quincy with the goal of healing the whole person at Franklin Total Wellness.

Diana was an avid shopper and never passed up an opportunity to find deals at Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Home Goods. Her family, friends and kitties reaped the rewards of her shopping trips. Those nicely spoiled kitties gave both Todd and her great pleasure when they were home. Diana dearly loved her family above all else. Todd, Chris and Letha and grandson Robert made up her wonderful world of family, and she would do anything for them. She loved her profession and was always thinking of how to better help her patients because she genuinely cared for them.

Survivors in addition to her husband, Todd, include her son, Chris (Letha) Franklin of Wentzville, MO; her grandson, Robert Franklin; her mother, Dr. Sheila Laws of Quincy; her father and mother-in-law, Kirk and Sharon Franklin of Bella Vista, AR; two sisters, Suzanne (Jon) Feldman and Julie (Rick) Bruening; a brother, Joseph (Larry Swallish) Laws; a brother-in-law, Mark Franklin of Centerton, AR; nieces and nephews, Brandon (Molly) Bruening, Jennifer (William) Phelps, Heather (Dr. Greg) Bosshardt, Tristin (Chad) Neumann, Andrew (Amanda) Schofield, Daniel (Julie) Schofield, and Madeline and Valerie Franklin; great nieces and nephews; and her three cats, Kerry, Gracie and Shelby.

Diana was preceded in death by her father, Don Laws.
