It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Joyce "Lynne" Fox, age 75, of Quincy, IL, on Friday, October 5, 2018.
Lynne was born in Keokuk, IA to Walter and Mildred (Carter) Evans on February 4, 1943. On October 12, 1974, she married David "Kent" Fox in Keokuk, Iowa. He survives.
Lynne went to high school at Keokuk High School graduating in 1961. She went on to earn a degree in nursing from the Burlington School of Nursing and graduated in 1964. Lynne worked in the field of nursing for many years including Blessing Hospital, Nutri System, the American Red Cross, and Hannibal Regional Hospital and retired from the Mount Sterling Correctional Facility. She enjoyed playing the piano, tennis, and spending time with her family. Lynne particularly enjoyed traveling to watch all of her grandchildren's activities. She was a longtime organist at Faith Presbyterian Church in Quincy.
Lynne is survived by her husband Kent, their children Todd (Stephanie) Fox, Rhonda (John) Holt, and Kurt (Dawn) Fox, her sister Carole (Dr. John) Kirchner and grandchildren: Carter, Madison, Quinlan, Brecken, Ellison Kate, and Lukas.
She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Mildred Evans and her brother, Robert Walter Evans.
Lynne was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Services: 10:00 am on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Faith Presbyterian Church with Lynne's family officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
Burial: 2:00 pm Thursday, October 11, 2018 Sand Cemetery, St. Francisville, Missouri
