Raymond "Dale" Ellerbrock , age 79, of Quincy, died Sunday, February 10, 2019, at 8:20 am in Blessing Hospital.
Dale was born November 26, 1939 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Raymond H. and Esther Buhre Ellerbrock. He married Kathy Taylor on September 8, 1961 in Lima, Illinois. She survives
Dale was employed at Moorman Manufacturing on the research farm, in sales, as a district manager, laborer, as manager of the third shift and as the assistant manager of the first shift. Dale retired from Moorman Manufacturing after 35 years of service, in 1995.
Dale was a member of The Crossing. He had always taken an active role in church activities and greatly enjoyed helping on mission trips with the youth. He was a former member of the Elks and Moose Lodges. Dale enjoyed swimming with the WaterBugs class at Quincy University. Dale had a love for sports and enjoyed watching games, especially if his St. Louis Cardinals were playing baseball or if Nebraska was playing football.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Kathy, include three children, Norman (Suzanne) Ellerbrock of Palmyra, MO, Anne (Keith) Wiltfang of Stillman Valley, IL, and Kim (Bill) Talken of Blue Grass, IA, nine grandchildren, Breeana (Robert) Deverger of Quincy, Ryan Hill of Las Vegas, NV, Emily (Jason) Watkins of Quincy, Brooke (Michael) Benesh of Oregon, IL, Amanda Mast of Davenport, IA, Kyle Mast of Dallas, TX, Bailey Wiltfang of Rockford, IL, and Andrew and Abigail Talken, both of Blue Grass, IA: six great grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Ellerbrock and Kenneth (Doni) Ellerbrock; two sisters, Charlotte Dahl and Janice Jackson; and nieces and nephews.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Raymond H. Ellerbrock, mother, Esther Ellerbrock, Brother, Roger Ellerbrock, sister, Shirley McGregor
Memorial Service: 11:30 am on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Pastor Brian Byquist officiating.
Visitation: 10:00 am - 11:30 am, Wednesday February 13, 2019 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Crossing or Quincy University (for Waterbugs Scholarships)
