Kenny "Kenner" Smith was born on September 15, 1968 in Omaha, NE, the son of Kenny Sr. and Flora Smith. He was raised in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Later, Kenny moved to Malvern, Iowa to "escape" the big city life. There, he met and fell in love with his wife and best friend, Mary.

Kenny and Mary were married on April 11, 2015 and made their life together in Malvern, Iowa.

Kenny was an avid Harley rider. He loved the pavement under his wheels and the feel of the wind in his hair. He worked for years as a long haul trucker and, as a river rat, he had true love for fishing and boating.

Kenny is survived by his wife and best friend, Mary Smith; daughter Shelby Lynn; parents Flora and Kenny Smith Sr.; mother-in-law Donna Libbey; grandmother Lila Vidales; brother Paul Smith and his wife Amy, sister Marty Smith; sister Tammy Cooperrider and husband Johnny; sister Monica Sempek and husband Ray; brother-in-law Bob Zimmerman. Many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and a host of very close and special family and friends.

Kenny will always be remembered in the sound of his approaching Harley and by the surprise of his "moon" in the air. He was a faithful and loving husband and a son that was 'good as gold'. He was starter of mischief, keeper of misfits and protector to all. Despite his health, Kenny LIVED. He should be an example to us all and will be greatly missed by many.
