Jennifer Berges, 47, of Glenwood, IA died on Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the chapel at the Glenwood Resource Center. Burial will be at the Glenwood Cemetery.
Jennifer Lyn Berges, daughter of Ronald and Virginia (Jackson) Berges was born on January 4, 1972 in Fort Madison, IA. In 1981 she made her home at the Glenwood State School in Glenwood, IA.
Jennifer received her education at the state school as well as training by the Resource Center staff and Waiver Home staff. Jennifer was loved by her former teacher, who became her legal guardian, as well as the staff who worked with her through the years. While living at the Glenwood Resource Center and the Family Support Services Waiver Home in Glenwood, Jennifer touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew her.
Jennifer is survived by her guardian LaVonne Renshaw of Glenwood, IA; brothers, Ron Jingst of Pittsfield, MA, Bob Jingst of Mililani, HI, Tom Jingst of Columbia, MO, and Ben Berges of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; other relatives; and the staff and friends at the Glenwood Resource Center and Waiver Home.
