Anthony Gail Smith
September 10, 1962 - March 22, 2019

Anthony Gail Smith, age 56 of Colfax, left this earth to be with his mother and father who he missed dearly, on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The son of James Eugene and Donna Mae (Teed) Smith, Anthony was born of September 10, 1962 in Newton, Iowa. He worked at Maytag in Newton for many years. Anthony was an avid NASCAR fan with Tony Stewart being his favorite driver. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and most anything outdoors. Anthony's greatest joy, however, came from his two precious daughters.
Those left to honor his memory include his two daughters, Erin Smith and Sam Smith; a grandson, Jayden Bakalar; siblings, Teresa Routh, Patricia Harrell, Elizabeth Smith, Mark Smith, Jerome Smith and Andrew Smith; as well several nieces nephews family and friends. Preceding Anthony in death were his parents, and a nephew Joseph Routh
