Charlene D. Sturms, 82, died Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Pearl Valley Nursing Home in Washington, Iowa.
Born June 9, 1936 in Dubuque, Iowa she was the daughter of Arthur and Marie (Fideler) Post.
Charlene worked for The Hawk Eye and The Shoppers Spree in addition to bartending for the Burlington Gym. She more recently worked as a cashier for Catfish Bend Casino until her retirement in 2006.
She enjoyed gambling and traveling to area casinos.
Survivors include her three children; Robert Sturms Jr. of Burlington, Randall (Jackie) Sturms of Illinois and Cathy (Rick) McAlister of Middletown; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild, one brother and one sister.
There will be no formal funeral services for Ms. Sturms. According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel. A memorial has been established.

"I remember her and her kids coming to visit along with Aunt Marie to our farm in Darlington and of course, the Fiedler/Studier Reunions. Those were times every family got together once a year to "catch up" with our relatives. My mom and dad were Delbert and Stella Bradt so your mom was my first cousin. Sorry for your lost.
