Dale L. Kocher, 69, of Rochester, passed away peacefully with his family by his side March 30, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Dale Lester Kocher was born December 26, 1949 to Lester and Ruth (Manzer) Kocher in Johnson City, New York.
He lived with Bear Creek Services for over 35 years. He loved playing guitar, watching movies, bowling, puzzles, playing games, jokes, and most of all playing pranks. He loved his family, his friends, going to PossAbilities where he was always a big helper, and his many activities in the community.
Dale will be forever remembered by his brother Kevin Kocher of Rochester; sister Kara (Bruce) Solheid of Lino Lakes, MN; two nieces, Megan and Kendra; two nephews, Michael and Brent; two great nieces, Isabella and Charlotte; and his many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at Grandview Cemetery
In memory of Dale, the family respectfully requests memorials in Dale's honor be made to Bear Creek Services and PossAbilities of Rochester.

"I know you will never remember me , but I was one year older than Dale...my name then was Aimee Pottorff , and we lived down the street in CCM..on the corner of 5 th street .in the house with the pool. My father was also IBM like Dale and his brother's (who I also remember) father , also coming from New York. I remember cruelty of neighborhood kids , proud to say it was never me . Very long story short....I've lived in CALIFORNIA since 1978, and after connecting with many classmates from the 1966 grad class..I started getting the Rochester obits. My middle child , of three , is developmentally delayed , special needs , whatever p.c. name it is at the moment. I never forgot Dale and have remembrances of him ...way more so now that I have my very special son. He is 37 , lives at home with me ......as long as I'm able , he always will....but I never , ever judge what families do....it's an extremely personal thing. I just wanted to express my condolences , explain who I was....and that thru these many years , I always remembered that little boy playing outside .....again....sincerest condolences"
"Dale always greeted me with a beautiful smile when I saw him at different places.. Picnics and dances! If my memory is correct and that is questionable... He was a dancing bottle of mustard along with his kethup bottle friend at Halloween dances. You brightened the world Dale..... Rest in Peace- Julie Jones"

"Absolutely loved having Dale visit us in Whitewater State Park whenever the Silker?s and Kocher?s went camping. He loved Bocce ball, camp fires and hearing our stories. Dale had the best smile ever and he will be always be fondly remembered. There is no doubt that Ruth and Les were waiting at Heaven?s Gate with open and loving arms for their son, Dale.
