June 7, 1944 - April 4, 2019

Ann L List ( nee Gilsenan), age 74 of Fort Washington, PA passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 4, 2019.

Born in Orange, NJ, Ann was the first of six children of the late John and Ruth (nee Garrabrant) Gilsenan. She grew up in Short Hills, NJ and was a graduate of our Lady of the Valley. Ann then attended Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pa, graduated with high honors in mathematics, and was recruited by Unisys Corp to pioneer the world of computer programming. While employed by Unisys Corp she met her husband, Walt List.

Ann was a woman of many interests and talents. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing Bridge, skiing in the Poconos, discussing politics, and reveling in the company of family and friends. Ann was very active in the community often volunteering her time and efforts to various activities and organizations including Upper Dublin School District PTA, Upper Dublin Soccer Club, Montgomery County Republican Committee, and the Philadelphia branch of the Indiana University Alumni Committee. Ann's most proud accomplishment was raising their 2 sons, Wally and Jason.

After her retirement Ann spent her free time helping St Isaac Jogues Parish in Wayne and volunteering at St. Alphonsus Parish in Maple Glen. Ann's happiest moments were always spent surrounded by her family, friends, and especially her Grandchildren Ryder and Sawyer. Her caring heart, hospitality, and vitality of life will be greatly missed.

Ann is survived by her Husband of 42 years Walter G. List, III. She is the devoted mother of Walter "Wally" List, IV, his wife Megan of Hatboro, PA; and Jason T. List of North Wales, PA. She is the loving Grandmother of Walter "Ryder" List, V & Sawyer E. List and sister of John Gilsenan (Roberta "Robbie") of South Windsor, CT; James Gilsenan (Kathleen) of Milburn, NJ; Marybeth Gorman (John) of New Providence, NJ; and Michele Gilsenan, DO of Short Hills, NJ. She is predeceased by her sister Ruth E. Vesey (Jack) of Warren, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday April 11, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, and Friday April 12, 2019 from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church 321 Witmer Road in Horsham. Words of Remembrance will begin at 10:45 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala-Cynwyd.
