A. Jean Moore
Canton -Jean Moore, 92, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Farmington Country Manor.
She was born on January 13, 1927 in Fairview to Chester and Stella (Oldfield) Dainty. They preceded her in death.
She married Melvin Moore on June 29, 1946 in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1995.
Surviving are six children, Terry (Doris) Moore of Bowling Green, FL, Charles Moore of Harker Heights, TX, Melvin (Glenda) Moore of Knoxville, IL, Robert (Judy) Moore of Canton, Melinda (Ross) Melhouse of Glasford, Thomas (Diane) Moore of Wentzville, MO, one brother, David Dainty of Havana, fifteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death are four brothers, Jim, George, Dean and Larry Dainty.
Jean graduated from Lewistown High School in 1944. She worked for Hiram Walkers in Peoria during WWII and later working and retiring from Canton Manufacturing Clothing Factory.
She attended Canton First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed bingo and many activities at the Farmington Country Manor. Most of all Jean enjoyed being with family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 1-3 pm at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home, 1601 E. Chestnut St., in Canton. A funeral service will be on Monday April 8, 2019 at 11am at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at Highbridge Cemetery in Dunfermline with a funeral Luncheon to follow at the First Church of the Nazarene.
Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene.
