Alice Darling
April 16, 1934 - April 3, 2019

Alice Darling, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Homme Home in Wittenberg. She was 84 years old. She was born on April 16, 1934, in Burnett, a daughter of Fred and Anna (Altman) Schwartz. She married Milo Darling on October 9, 1954, in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1994.

She was raised in Burnett and graduated from Juneau High School in 1951.

Alice lived in Milwaukee where she was employed at Walgreen's and Briggs and Stratton. In 1972 she moved to Bowler where she and her family operated Kal's Bar and Restaurant for several years. For 16 years she worked at Wisconsin Veneer and Plywood in Mattoon, retiring in 1995.
Alice loved helping people and was a hard worker. She would take care of and visit elderly neighbors, deliver vegetables from her garden and corn from the Schultz farm. She also enjoyed writing letters. sending cards for all occasions, framing pictures and making quilts. She would do anything for anyone that she knew was in need.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Darling Miller and Jeff Miller; two sons, Michael (Kathleen) Darling, Rodney Darling all of Bowler;

four Grandchildren, Jeffrey Miller, Glendale and special friend Missy, Woodbury MN, Luke (Sarah) Miller, Bowler, Marie (Antwon) Ellis, Portage, Dawn (Todd) Borchardt, Weston;

four great-grandchildren Brayden Myron, Michael Jeffrey, Benjamin Doc, and Lucy Patricia Miller;

three brothers, George Schwartz, Horicon, William (Phyllis) Schwartz, West Allis, Edward Schwartz, Milwaukee;
also many friends and relatives.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Frances, Clarence, and Fredrick Schwartz.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers and donations, Alice would want you to do a random act of kindness, write a letter, give someone a hug or encouraging word. This is what she will be most remembered for.

Bradley Funeral Home in Antigo is assisting the family with arrangements.
