MUSCATINE, Iowa - Shirley Jane Guevara, 59, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019, at her home.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Greenwood Cemetery. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com


Shirley was born on October 28, 1959 in Muscatine, the daughter of Phillip and Mary L. Foster Harris. She married Santiago Guevara on April 9, 1984, in Muscatine.

She loved cooking for her family and going on family vacations.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Santiago; one son, Jimmy Guevara and significant other, Savannah, of Iowa City; four daughters, Melinda Nava and husband, Samuel, of Idaho, Melissa Guevara of Nevada, Lori Guevara of Muscatine, and Carly Reyna of Muscatine; 16 grandchildren, Norma, Elianna, Adelita, Delilah, Nicole, Jenesa, Carlos, Heavenly, Harmony, Henesy, Hanaliyah, Justice, Nyelli, Anthony, Lexianna, and Mayson; one great granddaughter, Rosaline; her mother, Mary; several brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Phillip.
