Lucille Watson, age 90, of Ames, Iowa died April 8, 2019, at Bethany Life in Story City, Iowa. A gathering of friends and family will be 4-6:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, in Ames, with a 9:30 a.m. gathering prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at Gilbert Lutheran Church, 135 School Street, in Gilbert, with a burial at Gilbert Cemetery.
Lucille Watson was born February 27, 1929 in Gilbert, Iowa, the daughter of George and Dorothy Clouser. She graduated from Gilbert High school in 1946. She was united in marriage to Bob Watson and from this union the couple had five children. She was a farm wife, worked at Donnelley's, Nevada and Story City hospitals and retired from 3M, during retirement she worked at Walgreens. She lived in Story County her whole life. Lucille enjoyed dancing, traveling, and reading.
Lucille is survived by her brother, Gerald Clouser, sister, Marlene (Paul) Weigel, children, Diane (Tom) Laughlin, Tim (Judy) Watson, Cindy (Steve) Helgeson, and Kevin (Sue) Watson. Daughter in law Shelly Watson, brother in law Dick Bark, 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, sister, LaVonne Bark, two brothers, Kenneth "Bud" Clouser, Norman "Ike" Clouser, former husband Bob Watson, and son, Brad Watson.

"When Pam and I got married, Aunt Lucille gave us a "chalk" cat figurine that had been my Grandma Watson's. That cat meant the world to us then and we treasure it yet today. We were so appreciative of Aunt Lucille for doing that. We will certainly miss her."
