In loving memory of

CJ

CJ had a tough start. I first saw her hanging outside of a gas station. The cashier told me that she was feeding her for the last week or so. I didn't give it another thought until I saw her again in the same place the following week. I purchased some cat food took it outside and she came right up to me. That was it. She was going home with me. She took a few days to adjust to her new surroundings and quickly became one of the family.

She adapted to life with a dog very well. CJ was not intimidated by her one hundred pound dog brother. She would steal his spot on the couch or keep him stuck in a room simply by sitting in the doorway. She was the alpha for sure.

CJ really like to be around people. She was always excited to see you. She would walk down the stairs to greet me at the door when I got home. I loved that. She was also very popular with her human girl cousins. CJ would sit and let them pet her while they watched TV. She loved to sit on your lap and get attention.

CJ loved to purr. She purred when she thought she was going to get fed and when she ate. She purred when she was outside in the sun or when she was simply near you. She purred when she was playing and when she was resting in bed. She purred her way through life. CJ was a happy cat and was as glad to be around us just as we were around her.
