Robert F. Walker
August 5, 1929 - April 23, 2019

Robert Walker, of Antigo, died Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Brookdale of Stevens Point. He was 89 years old. He was born on August 5, 1929, in the town of Peck, a son of John and Ora Mae (Brown) Walker. He married Bernadine Muench on May 2, 1953, at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. He lovingly cared for his wife as her health failed before she preceded him in death on July 31, 2012.

He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Second Army Division from 1951 to 1953.

He was employed as a welder for Caterpillar in Milwaukee. After retirement he moved to Bass Lake in 1993.

Bob was a caring father who worked two jobs at the same time so his wife could be at home to care for their children.

He was a member of SS. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church and the Leland-Tollefson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2653, Antigo.

He was a fan of Stock car racing, enjoyed traveling and visiting the casino.

Survivors include four daughters, Gail (Tom) Worden of Clarkdale, Arizona, Kay (Jeff) Krebs of St. George, Utah, Cynthia (Mike) Machos of Plover, Jill Schultz of New Berlin; a son, Robert (Jaime) Walker of Porterfield; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Walker; five sisters, Pauline Rock, Dorothy Fesperman, Erma Liberski, Maxine Liberski, and Nan Simon.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 29, 2019, at 11 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Zach Weber officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
