Mary W. Rapp
October 7, 1937 - April 29, 2019

Mary Winifred (Johnson) Rapp, the daughter of Erling and Alice (Kronk) Johnson, was born October 7, 1937, in Graettinger, Iowa. She received her education from Rolfe Schools.
On July 30, 1964, Mary was united in marriage to Wayne Rapp at the United Methodist Church in Renwick after Wayne's service in the United States Marine Corp. The couple made their home in Renwick, Ames and in 1972, they moved to Orlando, Florida, where Mary worked as a file clerk assistant for Hartford Insurance Company and later retired from there. The couple returned to Renwick after Wayne retired in 2005.

Mary was a member of the Renwick United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her prayer study group, line dancing, and playing golf. Mary and Wayne both enjoyed spending winters in Zephyrhills, FL, they made many friends over the years.

Mary died on Monday, April 29, 2019, at UnityPoint Hospice - Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. She was 82.

Mary is survived by her sons, David Schoon (Angel) of Pageland, SC and Darold Schoon (Cathy) of Manson; daughters, Darla Rapp of Gainesville, GA and Dawn Rapp of Renwick; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; four sisters, Kay Newman, Alice (Jerry) Freeman, Joyce (Tom) Carlson, and Bonnie Ryen; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Rapp; son, Dennis Schoon; grandsons, Travis and Francisco; and brother, Dale Johnson.
