Mary Ann Zataveski
June 11, 1943 - April 28, 2019

Mary Ann E. Zataveski, age 75, of Roslyn, died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health in Abington, PA surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Ashland, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elias Edward and Elizabeth May (nee Fox) Hornung.

Mary Ann was a food service manager for more than 25 years in the Abington School District prior to her retirement in 2009.

Mary Ann was a longtime parishioner at St. John of the Cross Church in Roslyn. She enjoyed coaching softball for St. John's and she loved running the kitchen at Bingo. Mary Ann was an awesome cook whose recipes will be fought over. She also enjoyed exercising with Silver Sneakers and was a proud volunteer with Abington Community Outreach. Mary Ann loved to visit back home to Ashland and occasionally travel with her husband. She especially loved cheering on her children and grandchildren in all of their respective sports and spoiling both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Walter John Zataveski, Sr. She is the loving mother of Linda A. (nee Zataveski) and her husband Joseph D. Donovan of Linwood, NJ; Walter J. Zataveski, Jr. and his wife Lori A. (nee Eden) of Delran, NJ; Michael S. Zataveski and his wife Theresa A. (nee Loftus) of Quakertown, PA; and Mark J. Zataveski of Roslyn, PA. She is the dear grandmother of seven grandchildren Theresa V. (nee Zataveski) Hawley and her husband Steven, Christine E. (nee Zataveski) Norman and her husband Mark, Nicholas J. Zataveski, David H. Donovan, Kevin M. Zataveski, Victoria R. Zataveski, and Zachary M. Donovan. She has three great-grandchildren Ryan M. Hawley, Elizabeth M. Norman, Anna R. Hawley, and two more on the way.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002 and again on Friday, May 3, from 9:00 to 10:15 AM at Queen of Peace Church, 820 N Hills Ave, Ardsley, PA 19038 with a Funeral Mass immediately following. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA.
