In loving memory of

Justin Meyering
April 8, 1978 - May 3, 2019

Justin Daniel Meyering was a wonderful human being who was loved, will be missed, and will always be cherished. He was an amazing son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend.

Justin's story starts April 8th 1978, he was born in Forest City, IA, the third child to Henry and Julia. Loved ones that cleared the path for Justin are his maternal grandparents Elouise and Gail Stoddard of Titonka, IA; his paternal grandparents Heiko and Grace Meyering of Buffalo Center, IA; an uncle Arf Stoddard; a cousin Brandon Price; and a nephew Jacob Roberts.

Loved ones who will miss Justin are his mother Julia Custer and husband Bill from Omaha, NE; his father Henry Meyering and wife Janet from Garner, IA; his brother Michael Meyering and wife Kristi and their children Shawn, Korissa, Tyler and Jamieson of Bennington, NE; his sister Melanie Miller and husband Todd and their daughters Morgan and Ashley of Lincoln, NE; and his sister Kate Roberts and husband Travis and their children Kaylie Henrichs, Natalie Henrichs, Emily Henrichs, Troy and Trevor Roberts of Dakota City, IA. He is also survived by his step-brothers, Tyler Custer and Alex Garcia of Omaha, NE and Nate Custer and wife Kristy of Grand Junction, CO, his step-sisters, Corinna Cochran and husband Eugene of West Bend, WI, and their children Tierra Hanson Vanessa Young, Brody and Joey Cochran; and Terri Goin and her children Vincent, Simon and Eli of Neptune Beach, FL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and pets.

Justin was diagnosed in his early 20's suffering from Schizophrenia Paranoia. He had way above average intelligence which often accompanies this disease. Justin enjoyed spending much of his time at the library. He and his family struggled with the woes of this disease up until the end. Loneliness for Justin was a constant companion and that was constant pain also for those closest to him. This precious soul, even in his illness, was loving, non-judgmental, compassionate, giving (when he had nothing material to give) considerate, and kind to others. Justin was an angel on earth - God's great love has taken him home to be pain free. Amen

A funeral service will be held Friday at 1:30 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Buffalo Center with burial in Olena Mound Cemetery. His family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
