Vicki Lynn Boettcher was born March 25, 1956, to Eugene and Viola (Hawkins) Boettcher. She was one of four children. Prior to her retirement, Vicki worked for Oriental Trading Company and Hy-Vee in Omaha. Vicki and Jerry "JD" Kelly started their lives together in Omaha, NE but have made Glenwood their home since 2007.

Vicki enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, word searches, crossword puzzles and knitting in her free time. It was a given that the kids and grandkids could always count on receiving handmade knitted gifts from Vicki. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing and going on cruises. Vicki was a hard worker. In addition to her full-time job and other activities, she spent countless hours working side by side with Jerry in JD's BBQ Food Trailer and traveling to many venues. Vicki also loved animals. At one point she and Jerry were caring for a small zoo. They had two cats, two dogs and a bird. Vicki always had room for one more pet!
