Geraldine "Jerry" Crossley
September 19, 1932 - May 5, 2019

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Renwick Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Renwick Baptist Church, Renwick.

Geraldine "Jerry" (Guy) Crossley was born September 19, 1932, at home in Rural Lu Verne to Roy and Loretta (Curran) Guy. She was raised on a farm near Renwick and graduated from Vernon Consolidated in 1951.

Following high school, Jerry married her childhood sweetheart, Joseph E. Crossley on April 3, 1955 at the First Baptist Church in Renwick, where she was a member. Together they were blessed with three children.

Jerry worked numerous jobs in the community, but her main job was working alongside her husband on the farm with raising their children. She enjoyed many hobbies, including, cake decorating, quilting, sewing, making jeweled eggs, and making drapped porcelain dolls. Jerry looked forward to her coffee group on Tuesday and Thursday Morning's. Family was everything to Jerry and she loved spending time with all her grandchildren. She and Joe would attend all the grandkids activities. She was also an active lifetime member of Renwick Baptist Church.

The last years of her life were spent traveling between Texas, their lake home in Minnesota, and back to Iowa to be with her family. She died on May 5, 2019.

Jerry is survived by her husband, Joseph; children, Linda (Rick) Lane, Kent (Cathy) Crossley, Laurie (Patrick) Sullivan; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Joe (Deb) Guy and Jim Guy; sister Margaret (Myron) Haugland; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Roy and Loretta Guy; brothers, Jack Guy and John Guy; sisters, infant Emily Jane, Charlotte Chantland, Maxine Collins, and Patricia Bram.
