"Bill will be missed so much! He hired my son to work at Substantial and it was his favorite job. He was so upset when it closed and said ? I?ll never have a great boss like Bill again!? He was a one of kind. He was a staple in the Weston community. Everyone could always count on that great smile to greet you when you walked in the door. Bill you will missed dearly- but the impact you made and legacy you left behind will never be forgotten! Our deepest condolences to his wife and children. RIP Bill!"

"Bill our family will forever be better just because we knew you. From all our kids, nieces and nephews who worked for you over the years we know what a wonderful person you always were. That smile of yours was infectious. You treated my kids as they were your own. You sent them care packages when they were off at college and it meant the world to them. To his children please know he spoke of you often and he was so proud of each of you. Bill, thanks for ever last thing you have done for my family and this community. You will be sorely missed My friend. We will see you on the other side. Jeff Poole and family."

"Mr. Doherty was always so pleasant at Substantial Subs. Always seemed to have a smile on his face, even late in the day. I had quite a few students who worked for him and had nothing but wonderful things to say about him as a boss and more importantly as a person. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a kind, genuine man. "
