Thomas A. Beck
August 6, 1936 - May 12, 2019
Thomas A. Beck Sr., age 82, of the Holiday City South section of Berkeley Township died on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at home. Born in Queens, NY, he lived there and in Elmont, Long Island before moving to Holiday City 31 years ago.
Prior to his retirement in 1986, Mr. Beck was a Bus Driver for Tri-Boro Coach (now MTA) for 27 years. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Giants, and enjoyed playing tennis as often as possible.
He was predeceased by his son, Thomas A. Beck Jr. in 1997. Mr. Beck is survived by his wife, Barbara; his son Richard Beck and his wife Diane of Plainview, NY; his daughter, Donna Wegeman and her husband Paul of Brick; his grandchildren, Robert, Nicole, Richard and Joseph; and a great-grandson, Christian Kenny.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 4-8 pm at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 10:30 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Township. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY.
