James "Jim' Pentzel
November 3, 1969 - May 8, 2019

James "Jim" Pentzel, 49, of Elkhorn, Iowa, formerly of Burlington died 3:34 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.
Born November 3, 1969 in Burlington, Iowa he was the son of Mary Pentzel Lang.
He was a 1989 graduate of Burlington High School.
Jim worked as an automotive technician and most recently as a manager for a hotel in Elkhorn.
He loved to fix cars, attend the races at 34 Raceway, watching NASCAR and the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears. He was very proud of his children and loved his time spent fishing, camping and with his dog Toby.
Survivors include his four children; James "Jamie" (Trisha) Pentzel of Sperry, Iowa, Jessica (Pat) Inrachavongsa of Des Moines, Iowa and Jadyn Pentzel and Jaxton Pentzel both of Colorado; two grandchildren, Maci and Liam with one on the way; his mother, Mary Lang of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two sisters, Carolyn Lockey of New Hartford, Iowa and Michelle Lange of Cedar Falls, Iowa; brother Mark Lange of Cedar Falls, Iowa; aunt Marie Waters of Burlington and Uncle Darrell Pentzel of Winfield.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
The memorial visitation for Jim will be 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18th at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends.
A memorial has been established.
