Cheryl Ann Aeling
October 13, 1955 - May 14, 2019

Cheryl Ann Aeling, 63 of Cologne, MN and formerly of Winona, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at her home.
Cheryl was born October 13, 1955 in St. Cloud to Donald and Clara (Zak) Aeling. She graduated from Winona Senior High School; Class of 1974, and furthered her education at Winona State University, St. Cloud State University, Control Data Institute and Capella University. For many years, she worked as an independent software consultant for her own company, Datatron Software. Cheryl eventually took a job with Birchwood Laboratories where she was currently employed.
Cheryl loved all animals - but especially horses and dogs. She enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, reading, traveling, pottery and cars. Her pride and joy were her nieces and nephews and their children. She would spoil them every chance she got.
Cheryl is survived by her mother, Clara "Clare" Aeling of Winona; brothers, Thomas Aeling of Winona, Mark (Bonnie) Aeling of Prescott, WI and Michael (Deborah) Aeling of Rochester; one sister, Pamela "Penny" (Duane) Koehler of Winona; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Jason) Mahlum, Laura (Chris) Devine, Brian Aeling, Jackie Aeling, Heather (Andrew) Grigg and Troy (Samantha) Koehler; step-nephew and niece, Corey (Carissa) Koehler and Stacey Koehler; many cherished great-nieces and nephews and her four-legged companions, Rosie & Emme.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral Mass will Be 11 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2019 at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart with the Reverend Mark McNea officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m., until the time of Mass. Cheryl will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery. Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview is assisting the family with arrangements.
