Juanita Maple

Juanita Maple, age 80, of Payson, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 5:40 a.m. in Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Juanita was born on September 19, 1938 in Industry, Illinois the daughter of Ralph and Margie Amos Murfin. She married Ronald Lee Maple on June 2, 1957 in Payson, IL. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2006.

She spent her life as a homemaker and raising her six children. Juanita and her husband owned and operated Payson Mini-Storage and Hull Storall. After her children were raised, she worked in the cafeteria at Payson School. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and playing cards and Dominoes. Juanita was a life long member of Payson Christian Church.

Survivors include six children: Ronald Steven (Beth) Maple, Kevin Maple; and Paul (Susan) Maple, all of Payson, Lynette (Mark) Carpenter of Durham, MO., Leigh Anne (Kevin) Smallegan of Hudsonville, MI, and Lori Platt of Golden, IL; eight grandchildren: Gretchen and Ronnie Maple, both of Payson; Alischia Langan of Quincy; Paul, Kara, and Blaine Smallegan of Hudsonville, MI; and Ryan and Taylor Platt of Golden; two great grandchildren Ava and Aalyas Langan; two sisters |Rowena (Marvin) Larimore of Quincy and Marguerite (Gary) Jenkins of Hellam, PA; two sisters-in-law Gerri Maple of Loveland, CO and Keetha Maple of Kernville, CA; two step granddaughters: Julie (John) Danker of Bolingbrook, IL; and Lisa Krutmeier of Chicago; two step great daughters: Macy and Emery Danker of Bolingbrook, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Aaron Langan, a brother Kenneth Murfin and a son-in-law Roy Platt.

Services: 10:00 a.m on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Sackett officiating.

Burial: Bluff Hall Cemetery

Visitation: 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
